Daylight
Once in a while a record comes along that captures the season in it's thorny fist. Osborne's Daylight is that perfect blend of seasonal warmth and electronic grit that makes perfect sense when dropped. The summery house track "Daylight" finds Osborne at his most soulful, featuring a bouncy bassline, anthemic piano stabs, and a smooth Rhodes lead. Already a classic to many a DJ, "Daylight" (in an alternate form) was also featured on Ghostly's Idol Tryouts compliation. The flip contains a second Osborne track, Hydragilm Exit which takes the Daylight template and slows it down. Many DJ's have bought doubles of the 12" so they could extend this cut. Also included is a remix of the title track by Germany's Isolee, transforming the song into a perfect terrace record with skittering drums and squelchy bass. Known for releases on labels such as Playhouse (DE) (namely the legendary Beau Mot Plage) and Classic (UK), the man doesn't disappoint here.
